Sam is a Certified Nonprofit Board Strategist, Talent Officer and accomplished Attorney with over 15 years of experience in structured finance, recruiting, hiring, and extensive fundraising and governance in the nonprofit sector. As a natural facilitator and communicator, she is skilled at leading teams, stakeholders, and partners through legal issues, Board governance best practices, and inclusive growth strategies.

In her role as Advisory Board Chair to IAVA, she provides ongoing advice and solutions to the CEO and COO. Sam is a persistent and motivated advocate for underserved populations and a consultant to a variety of other nonprofit institutions promoting greater social good.
